Blackhall Place Regeneration

Westmeath County Council is undertaking an ambitious project to regenerate and transform Blackhall Place, Mullingar. It is the Council’s intention to work closely with local residents, businesses and community to regenerate the Blackhall area.

The Blackhall Place Regeneration Project aims to create major improvements to transform Blackhall Place to benefit the Mullingar town centre as a whole. The initiative is funded through the Urban Regeneration & Development Fund (URDF), in support of sustainable development, as set out in Project Ireland 2040. Our ambition is to create a modern and dynamic urban area that bolsters activity and creates a desirable destination for people to live, work and visit, whilst respecting the town’s medieval heritage.

The period for responding to the consultation survey has now come to a close. All feedback will be reviewed and used to assess the needs and aspiration of the local community and local stakeholders surrounding the site.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this survey.
